Licenses are valid for one computer/device and locked to the devie ID and username. Changing the name of your computer or copying it to another, will set it back to trail mode.

Upgrades are free within the same version and same platform.

Major upgrades will have different version numbers and will need a (modest) upgrade fee, so we can keep developing.
